Description
The Tormore 2011 14 Year Old (46%) by Cadenhead’s is a refined Speyside single malt, independently bottled by Scotland’s oldest independent bottler. Distilled in 2011 and matured for 14 years, this expression highlights the elegant and often underrated character of Tormore distillery.
This release has been matured in a carefully balanced combination of casks, with 60% aged in ex-bourbon barrels and 40% matured in sherry casks. This dual maturation brings together bright fruitiness and vanilla sweetness with deeper notes of dried fruit, spice, and richness.
Bottled at 46% ABV, the whisky offers an approachable yet complex profile. As expected from Cadenhead’s, it is non-chill filtered and presented in natural colour, ensuring a pure and authentic whisky experience.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Butterscotch, candy floss, ginger, toffee, kombucha, and pine.
- Palate: Orange, strawberries with cream, plums, fruitcake, white grapes, and mandarins.
- Finish: Brandy snaps, lemongrass, gorse, and rye.
