Description
This limited edition is a Speyside single malt from Dailuaine, distilled in 2008 and matured in a single Oloroso sherry hogshead (cask #40236) for 16 years. Bottled at cask strength, 56.7% ABV, in April 2025, this release is part of the Single Malts of Scotland series. Only 286 bottles were produced.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Dark dried fruits, polished oak, a touch of molasses, lifted by gentle spice.
- Palate: Full-bodied and complex with figs, raisins, toffee, walnuts, clove, and oak tannins creating a rich mouthfeel.
- Finish: Long, warming, elegant finish with echoes of espresso, bitter chocolate, and spiced fruitcake.

Enjoy neat in a Glencairn or tulip glass to appreciate its full depth. A few drops of water may help reveal more oak tannins and chocolatey/spice-layered nuances. Best savoured slowly.
