Description
The Kilkerran 16 Year Old 2025 Release is a refined Campbeltown single malt from the Glengyle Distillery. Matured in a blend of bourbon and sherry casks (approx. 60% bourbon, 40% sherry) and bottled at 46% ABV, this expression highlights both rich oak influence and subtle maritime character. It retains Kilkerran’s signature spirit while embracing deeper fruit- and spice-led notes.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Aromas of prunes, marzipan and orange-infused chocolate open the dram.
- Palate: Vibrant and complex—maraschino cherry syrup, liquorice, dates and star anise mingle, while gentle peat smoke and a hint of cinnamon toast emerge.
- Finish: The finish is sea salt-tinged, with hazelnuts, mint and morello cherries lingering.
