Description
This is an Islay single malt whisky distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2025 by Single Malts of Scotland under their Small Batch series. Matured for 10 years in refill hogsheads, this whisky is bottled at 48% ABV. It is non-chill filtered and naturally coloured. Only around 338 bottles are known for this release.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Sea breeze and wet peat mingled with hints of honeyed malt, salted caramel, and fresh citrus peel.
- Palate: Smoky and rich, with oak, vanilla, coastal salinity, and a gentle sweetness of toffee and orchard fruit.
- Finish: Long and warming with lingering smoke, salt, and mellow wood spice.

Serving Suggestions
Best enjoyed neat to appreciate the balance of smoke, oak, and salt. A few drops of water can open up more oak and sweet malt notes. Use a tulip or Glencairn glass and let it rest briefly after pouring to reveal its full character.
