Description
Dingle Lá an Dreoilín is the final and highly anticipated release in the acclaimed Celtic Wheel of the Year series from Dingle Distillery. This limited-edition Single Pot Still Irish whiskey celebrates Wren’s Day (Lá an Dreoilín), a vibrant Irish tradition observed on December 26th, where folklore, music, and community celebration come together in one of Ireland’s most distinctive seasonal festivals.
Crafted with precision and character, this whiskey is initially matured in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in Muscatel wine casks, creating a rich, layered spirit that reflects both Irish heritage and modern distilling artistry.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Aromas of sugared almonds, black cherries, dark chocolate, and caramelised banana.
- Palate: Warm toasted cinnamon, honey, ginger, and spiced almonds unfold with elegance and depth.
- Finish: Long, creamy, and luxurious with warm spice and dried fruit complexity.
The result is a whiskey that balances sweetness, spice, and fruit-forward richness, with a velvety mouthfeel that lingers beautifully.
