Description
This Speyside single malt from Miltonduff was distilled in 2007 and matured for 17 years in a refill sherry butt (cask #900778). Bottled in 2025 by Single Malts of Scotland at cask strength (59.6% ABV), it is non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, presenting a deep sherry character balanced with the distillery’s soft fruit profile.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Intense dried fruit (raisins, sultanas), roasted nuts, and a warm spice undertone of cinnamon and clove. Subtle oak influence and rich sherry sweetness.
- Palate: Rich and full-bodied; sweet sherry layers merge with dark fruits, toffee, oak tannin and a warming peppery spice.
- Finish: Long and lingering with a dry sherry influence, gentle oak bitterness, and a warm fade of dark fruit and spice.
